ICAN President visits Trinity University, urges collaboration

The President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Mrs. Comfort Olu Eyitayo, mni, CFA, FCA, has pledged the support of the Institute to Trinity University, Yaba, Lagos. 

She made the pledge during her visit to the institution on Wednesday, April 22, 2022. According to her, the Institute as the apex body of accountants in the country and recognized all over the world, is building synergy with educational institutions across the country to ensure corporate governance and accountability.

She said her visit was important because of the need to make students realise the importance of the profession and keep its ethics.

Welcoming the president, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Ayo, expressed delight at the visit of the ICAN team to the institution and said it was a recognition of the efforts of the university in making great strides since it was licensed in 2019.

He emphasized that the school authorities would continue to look for opportunities for its students to collaborate and learn more from professionals. Prof Ayo said the idea of the founding fathers of the institution was to ensure students that are produced by the institution are able to add values to the society.
