This is to inform you that the third Convocation Ceremonies will hold between 17 and 21 March 2025. Kindly note the following information:

Graduation ceremony, though a solemn occasion, is a very important milestone in your life. Therefore, please read this important notice very carefully:
- Attendance at the Convocation Hall is open to all graduands and 2 of their guests.
- Graduands shall move in a procession at 8.15 a.m. into the Convocation Hall.
- Graduands will not be allowed into the convocation hall, once the procession has commenced.
- Robing of graduands will commence at 7.00 a.m. at the venue of the ceremony. Therefore, graduands are advised to be at the venue at 7.00 a.m. to ensure that they are properly robed. Please, note that graduands who are not properly robed will not be allowed into the hall.
- Academic Outfits (gowns, caps, and hoods) are available for collection from the various Faculty Offices from Monday, 10 March 2025.
- Graduands are expected to collect academic outfits after presenting the receipt of payment for the following:
- Refundable deposit of
N5,000.00 - Hiring of academic outfit –
N5, 000: 00 - Graduation levy – N35, 000: 00
- Payment for graduation sache – N10,000: 00
- Receipt of N 2, 500:00 of (Two thousand, five hundred Naira only) for the Trinity University Alumni Association (TUAA)
- Clearance for the payment of School fees
- All graduands must pay all the levies: Hiring of academic outfits, graduation and TUAA membership, whether they attend the convocation ceremony or not. Certificates shall not be released without the evidence of payment of the levies.
- A separate receipt of N2,500.00 (Two Thousand five hundred Naira only) will be issued for the Trinity University Alumni Association (TUAA) membership levy. The levy must be paid into this account details given below:

- Academic outfits and Order of Proceedings will be issued on the presentation of appropriate receipts, at the graduands’ respective faculty office. Please, note that academic outfits will not be distributed at the convocation venue.
- Academic outfits should be returned not later than 48 hours after the ceremony. Failure to do so will attract a surcharge of N5,000.00 (Five Thousand Naira only) per day.
11. Any damage done/caused to the academic outfits or part thereof attracts a surcharge of N30, 000:00 for the gown, N15,000: 00 for the hood, and N10, 000: 00 for the cap as the case may be.
12. Graduands who fail to return the academic outfit will have their certificates withheld until they fulfill the above requirement.
13. Graduands are advised to be properly dressed and seated not later than 8.30 a.m. on the day of the convocation. The assistance of Faculty Officers should be sought to ensure that graduands are properly robed. The tassel (cord) of the cap should be worn to the right.
14. Graduands are to move the tassels of their caps from the right to the left, at a point in time during the ceremony, after the Chancellor declares: “I admit you all”. This signifies their admission into the body of graduates of Trinity University.
15. Female graduands are expected to show courtesy when they shake hands with the Chancellor, while male graduands would bow, but should not remove their caps. Female graduands are requested to hold their caps in place with hair pins.
16. Unauthorized movements and taking of photographs will not be allowed in the Hall. Graduands are, therefore, advised in their own interest to complete such activity in good time before coming into the Hall or wait until after the Ceremony. Any graduand who leaves his/her seat will not be allowed to return to the Hall.
17. All photographs will be taken only by the University’s Official/accredited photographers.
18. Graduands and guests are expected to stand when the Academic Procession enters/leaves the Hall and when the National Anthem/University Anthem are being sung. Graduands are requested to please, be orderly and wait till the end of the ceremony.
19. All cell phones should be put in (flight) mode throughout the ceremony.
20. Graduands should note that the convocation ceremony is a solemn one. Therefore, movement in and out of the hall during the ceremony will not be allowed.
