Mrs Ukaiwe delivered her Professional Lecture on Thursday, 31st January 2013, titled: MENTORING AS A VITAL TOOL TO EFFECTIVE UNIVERSITY ADMINISTRATION As a way of giving back to the system, experienced Administrators are given the privilege of delivering Lectures tagged ‘UNILAG DOYEN’ Mrs Ukaiwe delivered her Doyen lecture in August 2016, titled: ‘THE ANCIENT LAND MARK’

She retired from the University of Lagos in 2019 as the Director, Academic Affairs. Mrs Ukaiwe is an ordained Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Chuch of God. She served in Ministry with her husband, Pastor Austin Ukaiwe in various capacities. They are blessed with children and grand children.

She has a Post Graduate Diploma (with Distinction) from Redeemed Bible College (RCBC). She is also a graduate of RCCG School of Disciples (SOD) Mrs Ukaiwe joined the services of the University of Lagos in 1981 as Administrative Officer 1 and rose to the post of a Director in 2009. Mrs Ukaiwe started her career in the University of Lagos at the Staff Welfare Office (metamorphosed into Human Resources) from where she served in various Units of the University including being the pioneer Director of Property Development, Management and Investment.

Mrs Adebowale Ukaiwe is a graduate of University of Ife, Ile Ife where she obtained Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Agriculture (1977). In 1997 she was in the University of Lagos where she obtained Master of Industrial and Labor Relations (MILR). Her early education was at St Anne’s School Ibadan (1967-1973), Where she obtained both West African School Certificate and Higher School Certificate.
