Babajide Akanbi Shoaga was born on the 12th of March, 1968 to the family of Mr. David Oladehinde Shoaga and Mrs. Anthonia Oludolapo Shoaga both of blessed memory. He attended Baptist Day Primary School, Ijaiye, Abeokuta for his elementary education between 1973 and 1979. He got admission into Egba High School, Asero, Abeokuta for his secondary education and later got transferred to the prestigious Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta where he finished his secondary education in 1985.

In his quest for education, he got admission into the Ogun State College of Education, now Tai Solarin College of Education, Ijebu-Ode and graduated with a National Certificate in Education in 1990. He went further to Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye and graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degree in English in 1995. He had a professional Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Ogun State University, A Post Graduate degree in Theology and a Master Degree in Adult Education from the University of Ibadan.

Mr. Shoaga joined the services of Ogun State University as an Administrative Officer II on the 12th of March, 1997 and rose to the position of Principal Assistant Registrar having worked in almost all the units in the Registry. He is a member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

Mr. Babajide Akanbi joined the services of Trinity University on the 20th of May, 2019 where he was appointed as a Deputy Registrar and saddled with the responsibility as the University Registrar.

Babajide Akanbi Shoaga is married to Dr. (Mrs.) Opeyemi Olumayowa Shoaga, A Senior Lecturer with Olabisi Onabanjo University and blessed with beautiful Children.
